Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to my Development Diary. In the following 360 days I'll be developing a pixel art action adventure game using C# and Monogame. As mentioned in my previous post, I'll be targeting Steam, Xbox One and Windows 10.

I'm really excited about this game. 2017 is going to be a magical year for me as this project materializes a dream I ever had since I was a child.

I'll be posting here at least every Monday for the duration of the project, telling you what I'm working on and exposing any issues I'll be dealing with. It will be really challenging and exciting.

I will dedicate the next couple of weeks to the creation of the core framework. The purpose of this framework (sounds impressive, but it is just a .DLL) is to support the most primitive classes and operations such as sprites, animations, content loading, scene management and so on. This library will be running on top of the Monogame Framework and will contain no game logic at all.

I need to be quick, compact and effective (every minute counts). In parallel, I'll be working on the initial game design which includes the story line, the characters and the core gameplay mechanics.
